1. Zero File Uploads (Client-Side Architecture)

At SimplyCompress.com, privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundational architecture of our platform. Unlike conventional online file optimization and converter websites, we never upload, transmit, or store your images, PDF documents, or source code files on external servers.

All file compression, manipulation, resizing, cropping, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) tasks are performed exclusively on your own machine using native client-side web technologies, including HTML5 Canvas, Web Workers, and WebAssembly (WASM). Your confidential files remain strictly within your local browser sandbox at all times.

2. What Information We Do (and Do Not) Collect

Files & Documents: We do not collect, view, log, or inspect the contents, filenames, or embedded metadata of the files you process. When you opt to scrub EXIF metadata using our Image Studio, the metadata is removed directly on your device before download.

Server Logs: Like standard web hosts, our Content Delivery Network (CDN) may record basic technical data such as your IP address, browser user-agent, operating system, and request timestamps strictly for delivering website assets, preventing DDoS attacks, and ensuring server uptime.

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements when you visit our website in order to keep SimplyCompress free for all users. Please note the following regarding third-party advertising cookies:

• Third-Party Vendor Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites across the Internet.
